Stolen Toilet Found In Woods, Destroyed
Owners reported that a toilet that had been stolen several months ago had been located in some woods near their home.
The victims had reported in April that a toilet that had been sitting in the yard of their Mt. Horeb Road residence had been stolen while they were away.
They reported that it bore the words “out of order.” They later telephoned to say that the culprit had also damaged a telephone wire.
The victims spoke with Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies again on Sunday. They reported that they had located the toilet in the woods on an adjacent property. They said that the culprits had smashed the toilet, then left it in the woods. They estimated their loss to be $100.
